We had such a good turn-out for the Plant Exchange in March. 200 people attended and more than 1500 plants found new homes. The next Exchange will be on October 4th. Need help digging out plants? Let us know. Want to donate plants before the event? No problem. Interested in volunteering in the afternoon? We happily accept. Click on link above to view and print out flyer for our upcoming Plant Exchange. What: Free Neighborhood Plant Exchange When: Saturday, October 4th Time: 12 noon – 4 pm. Where: 3811 Lakeshore Ave., Oakland 94610 Easy parking Cost: Free Have plants you must prune or cull? How about trading your excess with others in your neighborhood? Take home new plants for your yard and have an instant new garden. All free. All types of plants welcome – small cuttings up to full size: succulents, tropicals, ground cover, flowers, wild grasses, vines, bushes, bulbs, clippings, etc. No time to re-pot your donations? No problem – bags and newspaper will do. Gardening accessories and accents also welcome: stepping stones, pots, trellises, trowels, driftwood, pond supplies and other landscaping accents and tools. Gloves, watering cans, pruning sheers…will all find a new home. We can even accept livestock: Okay, only goldfish or Koi! Bring: newspaper, bags, cardboard boxes to carry plants home in. Tell us a bit about the donated plants. You may use the Plant Information Form (located by clicking on the link at the top of the page), then download the form.
