Our First Annual Fall Fundraiser on September 22nd was a huge success. The Bernard Maybeck home itself was an architectural masterpiece drawing inspiration from nature and the 400 year old Oak Trees surrounding the home. Guests were treated to a curated tour of the home by Mitchell Schwarzer, Professor at California College of the Arts, San Francisco and Oakland. Guests also had the opportunity to tour the botanical gardens and the home’s eclectic art collection. A classical pianist serenaded guests as they watched the sunset through floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Oakland skyline. A huge thank you to our Board of Directors, volunteers, Event Sponsors, and all the guests who attended the event. We cannot wait to grow the event in 2019!
